NASA — Earth as Art

NASA Earth as Art is a collection of images from Earth-observing environmental satellites in orbit around the planet. These satellites can measure outside the visible range of light, so the images show more than what is visible to the naked eye. The result is a stunning disarray borne from the attraction of escaping Earth's gravity.

Intended for viewing enjoyment rather than scientific interpretation, the images showcase Earth’s aesthetic beauty in the patterns, shapes, colours, and textures of the land, oceans, ice, and atmosphere.
