Improving gender balance in the design industry
+ VIEW PROJECT INFO
Womentor is a mentorship program for women in graphic design. It provides support and guidance in business and career development by pairing senior designers with creative directors to form nurturing mentorships.
The identity was designed for the sole purpose of bringing women together. The merging of two ‘V’s as a ‘W’ represents the partnership of mentor and mentee, and the supporting zig-zag pattern symbolises mentees and mentors coming together, as well as the design community as a whole. The colour system is a direct response to the ‘blue for boys/pink for girls’ outdated gender stereotypes.
